To help you plan your next trip to New York, a round-up of some of our favorite spots in the city that never sleeps.

Neue Galerie is a museum that specialises in early 20th century German and Austrian art and design. The building itself is as exquisite as the collection, designed by the same architects as the New York Public Library.

Named after Neue Galerie co-founder Serge Sabarsky, Café Sabarsky evokes Viennese cafés at the turn of the 19th century, from the vintage furniture to the light fixtures.

The Frick Collection houses a distinguished collection of Old Master paintings and European sculpture and decorative arts. It’s also worth visiting for the building, one of New York’s few remaining Gilded Age mansions.

Open in various forms since the 1920s, The Waverly Inn in Greenwich Village is a neighborhood favorite.

The Met’s new contemporary art outpost, The Met Breuer, opened it’s doors in the former Whitney Museum space earlier this year, giving new life to one of New York’s oldest art institutions.
