Gifts we gave (or wish we’d received!) for Mother’s Day.

NEW YORK CITY BALLET AT LA’S MUSIC CENTER
After a 20-year hiatus, the New York City Ballet returns to Los Angeles for a four-day run in June. The short residency offers either a classical Balanchine program or a contemporary suite featuring works by the groundbreaking Jerome Robbins. We can think of no more perfect treat for the senses!

NOBLE PANACEA OVERNIGHT CHRONOBIOLOGY PEEL
Friend & friend of the brand, Alice, recently treated us to a luxurious spa day at Shou Sugi Ban, the exquisite Japanese-inspired sanctuary in Water Mill that guarantees a truly transcendent experience. Since then, this mask has been in regular, weekly rotation and we’d love to have a lifetime supply!

DIANE KRÖN CHOCOLATIER
The story of Diane Krön’s business — originally started in 1973 — has been long and winding. The closet-size Beverly Hills location stocks among other specialties dark-chocolate-covered Spanish orange peel. It’s hard to justify $40 on what amounts to a single serving of chocolate, but as a gift it’s a more guiltless and treasured indulgence.

CHICKEN RICE LEMON SOUP
Sometimes the most thoughtful gifts are immaterial gestures. The recipe for this simple, comforting soup can be found at NYT Cooking. Serving it in one of Jotham Hung’s “tea bowls” makes it extra special.

A MUSIC PLAYLIST
Everyone can use the modern equivalent of a mixtape. We’d love to get a considered & thoughtful playlist of music to score our car rides, workouts, dog walks for months to come. For inspiration, follow LA’s Club Angel Stuff / Dash + Sera’s playlists on Spotify which always hit the right vibe.

BOTTEGA VENETA NOTEBOOK
As avid list-makers, we’d love this triangle notebook & leather cover from Bottega Veneta. A frivolous item one might happily be gifted & use every single day.
