With a few renovations and design projects completed and currently underway, we’ve found there are a few home-design resources we come back to again and again.

ZANGRA
This Belgian design label offers a range of housewares, lighting, objects, and beyond. It’s a Muji-IKEA-Tokyu Hands-hybrid but all products are designed and made by “local” European producers. Not everything is US-compatible, so if you don’t feel up for asking your contractor to re-wire a light fixture, stick to their fantastic soft accessories and porcelain fittings.

FISHER & PAYKEL
The double dishwasher drawer—particularly panel-ready to seamlessly integrate with the kitchen cabinets—goes a long way to elevate both kitchen design and practicality. The flexibility to efficiently run alternating half-loads is a dream.

ETSY
The global marketplace for independent makers is a place both designers and homeowners turn to for good reason. There is the good, bad & otherwise to wade through. But we have sourced everything from lighting (pictured) and house numbers to ceramic drawer-pulls (also pictured) and floor coverings, each beautifully-designed, accessibly-priced and crafted to a high standard. The ability to purchase from the maker directly is a great bonus.

PACIFIC REGISTER
Small details are the jewelry of the home but it is easy to overlook something as utilitarian as a vent cover. Pacific Register offers a vast range of vent-cover options that go a long way in adding charm and thoughtful design consideration where you don’t expect it.

DYKE & DEAN
As with Zangra, this design destination offers a range of home goods—an almost endless range. But what we especially love are the US-compatible porcelain socket and switch plate covers in a great selection of shapes, glazes and finishes.
