With summer on the horizon, our thoughts are turning to vacation destinations. Here we share some of our Paris essentials.

La Cave Du Septime, a wine bar housed in a converted shoe repair shop,
is perfect for small plates and an afternoon glass of wine.

KathleenWhitakerPicassoMuseumParis

The recently reopened Picasso Museum features over 5000 works of art,
including pieces from Picasso’s own personal collection.

KathleenWhitakerSaintJamesParis

A chateau-turned-hotel in the middle of the city, Saint James Paris boasts everything from stunning interiors to an award-winning restaurant and lush private gardens and spa.

KathleenWhitakerAuPassageParis

When in Paris, make time to visit Au Passage, which offers beautiful bites and cocktails.
Ask for the Fever Tree Tonic and Maidenii Vermouth with lemon twist.

Yaeca has a number of beautiful lifestyle stores in Tokyo, each worth a visit. Our favorite is the Yaeca Home Store, for its expertly curated mix of furniture and homewares.

Tokyo 2

Enjoy authentic Kaiseki cuisine at Kuroiwa, a beautiful and tranquil restaurant that offers a welcome respite from the bustle of the city.

Tucked in the backstreets of Ebisu station, Wine Stand Waltz is a must for a relaxed evening drink. A bijou wine bar, it has space for 10 patrons only, and serves natural wines from Europe and Japan in Baccarat glasses.

Situated in Meguro, south of Shibuya, Claska is one of our favorite hotels in Tokyo. A modern, minimal yet comfortable space, each of its 20 rooms is uniquely designed. The hotel also features a restaurant, lifestyle shop and an adjacent art gallery. A popular spot with discerning travelers, booking early is advised.

Ginza West is an old school Japanese tea room established in 1947. With it’s pristine white table cloths and silver service, it’s the perfect place for afternoon tea and cake.
